This case study traces the emergence of Jigsaw, a national community based network of New Zealand family service agencies, from the foundations of its thirty year old predecessor, Child Abuse Prevention Services. Taking an Appreciative Inquiry approach, Jigsaw has sparked, grown and is now living its dream of becoming a successful, vibrant and influential strength-based organization.

Liz Kinley and Tau Huirama, life partners and joint Chief Executives of Jigsaw New Zealand, have substantial experience leading community and government social services. Liz is a manager, facilitator and educator who thrives on managing change and implementing large national projects. Tau is New Zealand Maori from the Tainui waka and brings a wealth of cultural and community wisdom and experience to his national leadership and consultancy roles. Both are trained in Appreciative Inquiry and strongly committed to strength based principles.
