Becoming Captain of My Ship

Abstract

We have all an inner treasure: the ability and strength to believe in ourselves and to have the courage to steer our own ship. However, we can look elsewhere, wanting others to tell us what to do, wanting them to value our efforts. We can lose control of the ship, letting it drift. By being introduced to Appreciative Inquiry coaching, I realised this common challenge: to command your own ship and prepare it for a lifelong treasure hunt of finding your inner strengths and being an appreciative leader, for yourselves and for others.
